Oriental Butterfly and Phoenix

Happy holidays, ! I was your Secret Santa!

First things first, I am incredibly sorry for this horrible quality, both for the photograph and the elementary-school-level coloring. As some of you may know I am currently overseas, which means no access to scanners and the usual colored pencils I use, which resulted in this...nasty...thing.
(Though the colors don't look this faded in real life...:<)
But I promise I will touch this up once I get back home (including recoloring and adding more details), and it'll look much better in a few weeks. Once again, I am really sorry!
And for those of you who are wondering why I didn't work on this earlier, there is this little thing called finals. But yes, I acknowledge that I should have looked ahead.

Anyways, moving on...
I figured that since Sailor Butterfly is a very important Guardian of a very important place, she deserves a decent redesign to match! Since Vikuna is part Japanese I wanted to go with an Oriental-ish design, partially based on geishas.
Then Butterfly looked really lonely all there by herself, and the idea of Kitoku in a samurai suit made me laugh too much, so I drew Phoenix in a similar outfit to match. Phoenix deserves more love, anyway. :3
I originally gave Yumiko a bob hairstyle (which was popular with young Japanese girls), but it didn't really suit her. So I just made her hair all poofy.
Anyways, I don't think I did these beautiful characters justice at ALL, but hope you like!
