Comm: Redesigned Aviator Irelia

A friend who I don’t think is on dA commissioned me to draw Irelia from League of Legends and take my own twist on her Aviator skin, so…here it is!

Irelia is known for her blades and I couldn’t not include them, but I wasn’t really sure how to have her pose with them so I “turned” them into wings. More like they are imitating wings.
She didn’t really have much going on with her original outfit aside from her trenchcoat, which in my opinion was a little boring, so I wanted to reveal the top underneath that trenchcoat by shortening it into a bolero (you can see the designs of the original collar on the jacket).
With the leggings, I wasn’t really impressed by the metal bands she had around her legs, so I turned them into the bronze ends of her shorts (which was mimicked in her jacket as well). The bands around her gloves and boots were inspired by the belts, which I hear Riot loves.

I guess now that I look at it, there’s a lot more green than what I was expecting. Not that it’s bad, just that…in her original design, the predominating color is the beige of her trenchcoat. So yes, I am very aware of the green.

Even so, I’m pretty happy with my redesign and I hope my friend is as well!

By the way, I am not opening commissions just yet; this was just an exercise for me.
